Jon Ronson Saves has reached 1163 hits… random number to announce, but no more or less meaningful that saying 1000 or some other nicely-rounded number. Bottom Line - folks are viewing the site… now how about responding to the site?
JRS was created to be a forum for comments; maybe I’m doing something wrong, maybe it’s not designed correctly… maybe I’m the only one who likes talking about the works of Jon Ronson. I don’t think so, judging from the daily URL’s I see pop up with his name in an article or interview. So share your comments, if you have them!
I’ve solicited comments from Mr. Romson, though I guess at this time I don’t have a platform that interests him. But he did reply and was nice about it and all. I do try to promote his work, though I’ve gotten a bit behind of late, my day job keeping me quite busy, plus kids, my own fiction writing, life in general. But I think Ronson has done a TON of groundbreaking research into some of the most well covered-up areas in recent American history. Sometimes that fact gets buried under his ‘gonzo’ style of reportage, perhaps…but it’s there, for those willing to pause and consider for a moment some of the things he’s saying.
Read what the man has to say, and read some of what his detractors have to say, too… He’s not perfect, after all, and there are a few valid criticisms of him out there, as well as far too many very mean and stupid ones.
